Zither, Brookmans Park

Working with Bryant + Moore Architects, we gained permission for the replacement of a house with a substantially larger (7 bedroom) house in the Green Belt.

The original 1930s property had an existing planning permission for a series of extensions. Our client wanted to start again, and build an attractive new house suited to the needs of a large family. We negotiated with the Council and successfully persuaded them that a well-designed new house would be preferable to the ad hoc building of extensions on the property. The council accepted these arguments and planning permission was given.

As part of this permission, the Council imposed a planning condition that removed permitted development rights for outbuildings. We successfully challenged this, and were successful in having this condition omitted from a second permission, for a slightly amended design.
