We gained ‘prior approval’ for the change of use of this vacant office building to form 10 residential apartments. This process allowed for the change of use of the building, but no other amendments.

In a further planning application we gained permission for alterations to the building which made more efficient use of the space available, on both floors and also using the roof space. This increased the accommodation to 15 apartments. We negotiated with the Council and overcame an objection from the Conservation Officer to the design of the new roof. Speaking at the planning committee meeting, we received near unanimous support for the application.

A second planning application was then made for an extension of a further 7 apartments on the side of the building, over the car park. We negotiated support from the Planning Officers and overcame objections from the Town Council to again receive the strong support of the planning committee.
