Media House was built in the 1950s and formed part of the Addis brush factory until the early 2000s, when it was converted to office use. With demand for office space declining, the Government have introduced a process to allow for their conversion to residential use. We firstly gained approval for the building’s change of use, stepping in following the refusal of a first application.
We then submitted a second application to make subtle alterations to the building to allow for a more efficient conversion. This allowed for the creation of an additional flat, and created gardens for the ground floor residents at the rear of the building.
