We secured prior approval for the change of use of a vacant office building near the centre of Welwyn Garden City, to form residential apartments. As this was a form of permitted development, the developer was not required to provide planning obligations such as affordable housing. Through subsequent planning applications, and negotiations with the Council, we secured planning permission to add to the two-storey building, removing its roof, changing its façade to improve its appearance, and adding four storeys, to create a 6-storey building.
