This site was garden land, assembled from a number of adjacent properties. It was also accessible only through existing properties, implying that it was necessary to demolish one half of a pair of semi-detached houses to form an access road. We were asked to assist, following the receipt of negative pre-application advice from the Council.
We led further discussions with the Council, and were able to reach agreement with Officers over the design and layout of the development. Alterations were also necessary to address objections from neighbours. We spoke at the Planning Committee meeting, and secured support for the application, despite heavy opposition from neighbouring residents and the local Ward Councillor, who was also the Leader of the Council.
